Andrew was the most efficient waiter ever and it was GREAT! We sat in the dining room. I liked the cashew halibut. The coconut cream Cheesecake was really good too. We went to celebrate my 49th birthday and the crowd made me feel young???? I would take my mom here next time she visits.

I've gone quite a bit over the years and not much has changed in a great way. I love the atmosphere and food. I live in downtown and I wish we had a place this cool. I'm car-less and when I borrow a friend's car I try to pay a visit a few times a year. I'm never let down. Keep it up!

Poppies is so amazing! We walked into Poppies for the first time and it just felt we found “Cheers” where everyone knows your name. Our wait staff was, Laura, such an incredible individual with a big heart. She is perfect with checking back and fantastic service. My husband had the dole sole - yum - and I had the lemon halibut - the best. These dishes also come with pilaf and steamed spinach - so good So very fortunate to come to Poppies! Can’t wait until next time!

So yummy! This tried and tested hole in the wall, amazing, upscale, restaurant was a perfect spot to eat and drink with my boyfriend's family! I had the Jaeger schnitzel, and it was delicious! Highly recommend!

We went there for my bday. I love their prime rib dinner. Delicious and well priced. A very 'friendly' atmosphere. It caters to a 60 plus crowd not geriatrics but old enough to appreciate a well cooked well served meal without the feeling that you are being rushed out to turn the table. I love that you can make a reservation and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. I went back today and brought two friends we had yhe French dip that I'm sure was the leftover prime rib and it was delicious. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Great place highly recommend it!

Their food is really good. It doesn't look like much from outside, but inside, it is really nice it is very 60's fancy it has a beautiful wooden bar. We have had good service, mostly, but the last time we went, our server didn't write anything down and got my order wrong. I ate it anyway it was good.

Poppies has been a Denver staple forever! The service and food are excellent. The restaurant decor needs updating and its really dark inside. Which is hard on the majority of their older clientele. Other than lighting issues, food was delicious!

I'd heard about this place for years but had never been before. The interior was a throwback to an old piano bar lounge, which I happen to like but may not be for everyone. The mussels were among the best I've ever had. My friend enjoyed an order of ribs. Generous pouring of wine.

Haven't gotten to try too much on the menu yet but what I have tried was pretty amazing definitely recommend the stroganoff

Poppies is our kind of casual dining spot. A menu full of comfort food options with libations to match. I had enchiladas, fantastic. Service was very good. It was busy, the noise level typical of casual ambiance, the midpoint between an Irish pub & a popular neighborhood Italian eatery. We most certainly will go again with friends. If you're up for casual dining my rating is 5 stars.
